The Planet Youth Annual Conference 2024 will take place in the capital of Iceland and will last for three days – from 11th to the 13th of March. 


Our own Planet Youth experts from all around the world will share their knowledge, practical experience and insights on substance use prevention along with our Planet Youth partners. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn from the best in the field and networking with policy makers and practitioners working with children, youth and families using Icelandic Prevention Model in 16 countries!


We invite all those to participate who would like to create a better future for youth. And especially those who care about the healthy environment of youth. Our guests are often people from the health sector, public health, doctors, social scientists, social workers, NGO’s, Municipal workers of all sort, mayors, governors, members of global organizations, prevention specialists, police and more.  


The Conference will take place at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik – Sigtún 28, 105 Reykjavík, modern and stylish hotel with the amazing mountain and sea-side view close to Reykjavik city center. 


The official Conference language is English.

Exploring the Core of Planet Youth

Day Three

Icelandic Insights into the Prevention Model

We’ve invited our Icelandic partners to share their expertise, for a half day, on the Icelandic Prevention Model. Discover how it is carefully organized within the context of children’s well-being in Iceland.

The other half of the day will be dedicated to a field trip where conference guests will get the opportunity to see how the IPM is integrated into daily activities of children in Iceland.

Please note: Additional fee of 125 EUR will be charged for the field trip. The number of seats is limited.

Note: Limited seating available, additional charges implies. The Price of the study visit tour is 125 EUR.

Date: 13th of March 2024. Buses will be leaving from Grand Hotel after lunch on the 13th of March for field trip guided by Planet Youth employees. The aim of these visits is to display the Icelandic Prevention Model in real live settings. Exact locations will be revealed at a later date.

Fee per guest for the Conference is 820 EUR

Date: 11th – 13th of March 2024. Venue: Grand Hotel – Reykjavik Price pr. Guest: 820 EUR. Lunch, Coffee & Refreshments are included during the Conference. Conference language is English. Guests need to arrange and pay for flights/transportation and accommodation separately.
