Planet Youth opened its new offices on the 15th of December in continuation to a large conference on addiction prevention which was held in the Poliforum in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico on 13th-15th of December. The office is in the Foro 4 complex in the exclusive district of Jardines del Campestre, where many innovative companies and organizations are located.
On this occasion the CEO of Planet Youth Pall Rikhardsson said: “We are proud to open our new offices here in Leon Guanajuato. This is our first office opening outside of Iceland, even though we are working in 16 countries of the world. You can say we are building the first lighthouse outside of Iceland, which has become a symbol of our operations, leading the way to more effective methods in primary substance use prevention of youth.”
The cutting of the ribbon was done by employees and benefactors of the organization, among them were the health minister of Guanajuato state dr. Daniel Diaz, the Governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhué Rodríguez Vallejo and his wife Adriana Ramírez de Rodriguez Vallejo. Diego Sinuhé welcomed the arrival of Planet Youth to Guanajuato which is now working in 46 municipalities of the state to introduce new methodology in this important field.
The opening of the Planet Youth office in Leon Guanajuato is meant to increase the services provided to our partners in Gunajuato Mexico and to be a hub for further expansion in Latin America.
