Cultural transferability is one of the strengths of the Icelandic Prevention Model allowing it to be effectively implemented in diverse global contexts. The model emphasizes community engagement, data-driven decision-making, and the reinforcement of protective factors such as family involvement and organized extracurricular activities.
Its flexible framework can be tailored to fit the unique cultural, social, and economic conditions of different communities, making it applicable in settings ranging from urban to rural regions. This transferability has enabled the model to foster collaboration in countries across Europe, North and South America, and beyond, demonstrating its potential to promote youth well-being on a global scale.
